(LEBANON, Ill., Sept. 9)—The McKendree College hockey team kicked off its second season of competition Friday with a 6-1 home loss to the University of Missouri. The contest was played at the U.S. Ice Sports Complex in Fairview Heights.
McKendree, coming off a 19-13-1 record in its inaugural season in 2004-05, was outshot in the opener by a 47-26 margin. The Bearcats trailed 5-0 before netting their first goal of the year six minutes into the third period. Sophomore center

The Bearcats are on a 10-game homestand to open the 2005-06 season. McKendree will host Missouri Saturday at 3 p.m.
